Dates: Thursdays/ July 11, 18, 25; August 1, 15, 22, 29

Instructor: Terri Rucker

Join us for a 7 week course about your anatomy.  Let's get scientific while learning the function, looking at images, and feeling a specific muscle during our slow mindful yoga classes. Here are the muscles/body parts that we will learn about: transverse abdominis, erector spinae, pectoralis major, iliopsoas, biceps femoris, piriformis, and finally the vagus nerve.  This course is for all body types and levels and uses slow yoga and movement to heal, invite resilience, and reduce pain.

Terri Rucker has been teaching yoga for youth and adults since 2004. She has 12 years of teaching experience at Chula Vista Elementary School District teaching and Poway Unified School District. Along with her California K-12 Teaching Credential, she has certificates from Beth Shaw’s YogaFit-RYT 200, AFAA Practical Pilates, Silver Age Yoga Community Outreach (SAYCO), Mindfulness Meditation Teacher (MMT), and Shana Meyerson’s Mini Yogis teacher training for kids yoga.  Terri has developed a light-hearted teaching style that keeps her younger and more mature yoga clients active yet safe and understands the limitations that these yogis may have.

If you did not enroll in this class during registration, please contact Ilana De Laney to RSVP.
