Join us in Balboa Park to build a personal totem for you or a loved one! Across Indigenous cultures of North & Central America, totems were fabricated as a reminder of our connection with the natural environment. Join longtime resident artist in Balboa Park, Beverly Hartgrave as we select from hand- made clay imprinted tiles, wood and bells to build a totem. Learn about symbolism in Native American tradition and build a relationship with the natural environment and your neighbors in this cultural outing. *We will meet at the Spanish Village Arts Center across the street from the Natural History Museum in Balboa Park.
