This class is a gentle, fun, and supportive way to learn how to foster peace of mind for the rest of 2021. I (Terri Rucker) found my way to yoga in 2000 for the physical benefits but soon came to realize that it helps me bring more focus to my thoughts, breathe more efficiently, and manage my stress. In this class, you will explore how your body responds to a few sequences of postures and also the pauses between the poses. During this hour of movement, you will do some rigorous poses to build strength, a few standing poses to optimize your balance, and of course on-the-mat postures for deeper stretch and release. EVERYTHING will be done with mindfulness.
Terri Rucker has been teaching yoga for youth for more than 15 years. She has also taught in Chula Vista Elementary and Poway Unified School District. Along with her California Teaching Credential, she has Yoga, Pilates, and Mindfulness meditation teaching certificates.
