This course will help participants sharpen their skills as leaders by working from the inside out. Participants will be able to grow their leadership acumen by first looking closely at themselves, themselves as leaders, and their teams. Through hands on activities, you will gain a new set of tools to use with others to increase motivation and drive toward success.

The seminar will be divided among three primary areas of focus:

Session 1: Understanding Yourself • Values: Participants will recognize their values at the core of who they are. • Developing Your Why statement

Session 2: You as Leader • Listening and communication skills • Empathy, diversity and inclusion

Session 3: Understanding Teams—Bringing Parts 1 & 2 Together • Five Stages of Team Development • Setting a tone and ground rules for your team (ground rules and feedback).

Heather Wolfson is the Founder and CEO of Maven Coaching & Consulting.  She is a professional consultant and Board Certified Coach (BCC), specializing in helping people achieve organizational resilience and overcome roadblocks to their success.  Heather’s experience in leading teams and developing strategies for organizations has given her the unique insight to propel people forward in their personal and professional lives. 

Throughout her career, Heather has guided and mentored peers and direct reports through her insight and intuitive approach to problem- solving.  As a strategic thinker, Heather has helped them gain a better understanding of who they are while identifying the tools they need to be successful.  She is also a skilled and engaging facilitator who brings sessions to life for participants.

Heather has over 15 years of experience working with organizations.  She has served in many senior level positions including most recently as the COO of an international nonprofit organization that she helped establish. Heather has her undergraduate degrees in journalism and communication from the University of Arizona, an MBA from Loyola Marymount University and coach training from the Institute for Life Coach Training.
