Fall Semester 2019 - 2020
Sunday, January 26th
(workshop, 4:00 – 6:00 PM)
Instructor: Dr. Susan Bernstein
Location: Multi-Purpose Room
Prerequisite: None
CEU: 0.6
Course Description:
Conflict is inevitable in organizations and in life. But what about the nasty, damaging behaviors that can accompany disagreements and disputes? Those are actually optional. You have the power within you to shift out of conflicts and into collaborative relationships in both your personal and professional life.
When you attend this workshop, you will explore the three key roles we unconsciously play that create unnecessary drama; identify how these roles have impacted power dynamics throughout our lives; experiment with each of the three roles in conflict dramas to get an inner sense of the roles, needs, and unexpressed power; practice how to diagnose what’s happening in a conflict and discover how to rapidly remedy the situation; discover an approach to conflict that empowers everyone to achieve collaborative “power with,” rather than “power over; “define strategies for transforming the interpersonal dynamics in your own environment.
Dr. Susan Bernstein supports people to shift into increasingly higher levels of satisfaction and success in their lives.
