This six-week course will get you back in touch with what ‘real’ food is and why it is important. This is not as much about learning what to eat as it is about creating a nourished lifestyle that is the cornerstone of disease prevention and optimal well-being. This course will focus on:
Understanding carbohydrates, fat and proteins and how they each fuel the body.
What is gut health and why is digestion so important to our whole-body functioning, including our moods, immune and brain health.
What blood sugar balancing means in your efforts to maintain weight, diabetes prevention and energy throughout the day.
Busting myths about fats and why they are your friend not foe
Learning the difference between fad diets and eating plans that are right for each individual.
How inflammation is the cause of all disease, and what you can do about it.
