(4 week course; 7:00PM - 8:30PM)

Instructor: Deanna Padilla

Location: COL Multi-Purpose Room

Prerequisite:  None

CEU: 1.8

Experience a holistic approach to releasing stress and anxiety in this Sound Bath Immersion that will be the first session of this course. In the Crystal sound immersion session we will integrated breath work, gentle yoga postures, guided meditation, aromatherapy, and the magical vibrations of the 7-chakra aligned crystal singing bowls.

Practice breathing techniques to calm the sympathetic nervous system, eliciting the relaxation response and open your body to releasing muscle tension through gentle flowing movement and yoga postures. At the end of this session you will rest in Savasana with a guided meditation, then experience the soothing sound of the crystal bowls to bring you into a deep state of relaxation and emotional release. In the next 3 sessions you will explore a Vinyasa yoga, a slower-paced, alignment focused class which builds the foundation for a Vinyasa yoga practice.

By bringing awareness to the subtler details of Sun Salutations and various standing and seated postures, this class offers the new yoga practitioner the space to learn and grow. This class will build strength, flexibility, and mindfulness.
